I must say that I have been using the onions in many ways:

Tengo que decir que he ido utilizando las cebollas en muchas formas: 

 One is the tasty onion and cheese sandwich.

Uno de ellos es el delicioso sándwich de queso y cebolla.

I did another with onions and spinach on pizzas.

Hice otro con cebolla y espinacas en pizzas.

I enjoy making my large bottle of tomato sauce mixed with other ingredients but onions is one of the main ingredients.

Me gusta hacer mi frasco grande de salsa de tomate mezclado con otros ingredientes pero cebollas es uno de los principales ingredientes.

I use onions in delicious numerous stews, breakfast , enchilladas, garnaches, salad the list is endless. My hubby enjoys onions even if they are spicy or hot so is enjoying the sweet onions. I can actually cut it and not shed a tear. Enjoyable!

Yo uso cebollas en deliciosos guisos numerosos, desayuno, enchilladas, garnaches,  la lista es interminable. Mi maridito goza de cebollas aun cuando estén calientes, pero goza de la cebolla dulce. Puedo realmente cortarlo y no derramar una lágrima. Agradable!

Made Onion Soup, an onion sauce with pepper, make quesadillas with onions.

Ha hecho sopa de cebolla, una salsa de cebolla con pimienta, haci quesadillas con las cebollas. 

We eat most dishes with onion and they were exquisite and delicious.

La mayoría de los platos se comen con cebolla y fueron exquisitos y deliciosos. 

The t-shirt and cap will be well worn and will post pictures of grandpa wearing his t-shirt and hat.

La camiseta y la gorra bien se llevarán y publicarán fotos del abuelo que lleva su camiseta y sombrero.

We normally do not put onions in our potato salad as everyone complains about it but this time around I decided to give it a try and it worked as I did not hear any complaints, Wholla!!

Normalmente no ponemos cebolla en nuestra ensalada de patata como todo el mundo se queja de él pero esta vez lo hice, he decidido darle una oportunidad y trabajó  no escucho quejas, Wholla!!

Summer is here again and here is our favorite Potato Salad!!!

El verano está aquí otra vez y aquí está nuestra ensalada favorita!!!

What have the children been doing for the summer, keeping them busy?

¿Qué es lo que han hecho los niños durante el verano, con que se les mantiene ocupado? 

I have found some nice summer movies at the theater, a number of  summer activities at Michaels.

He encontrado algunos bonito películas en el cine y una serie de actividades de verano a Michaels.

This salad is done the way I learnt from my mom but there are many ways and they are all delicious. This is a favorite that can be found on most Belizean table on a Sunday afternoon. I would sometimes add shredded chicken or tuna or shredded crab or shrimp. It really is your choice to make it yours!

Esta ensalada se hace de la manera aprendí de mi mamá pero pero hay muchas maneras y todas son deliciosas. Este es un favorito que puede encontrarse en la mayoría de Belice en el domingo para el almuerzo.

Potato Salad

Ingredients:

1 lb potatoes
1/2 diced onions
1/2 lb carrots
1/2 lb green peas
or 
1 can green peas and carrots
or
1 can mix vegetables
3 boiled eggs
1/4 cup Durkees
1/4 cup Heinz Salad cream
a small onion diced or grated
a small green pepper diced thinly

Method

Boil all vegetables and potatoes and eggs. Peel and diced and mix in a bowl except eggs. I blend my salad cream and Durkees sauce or mustard and mix well. I mix the veggies and potatoes with the salad cream mixture and season. I would normally add a small diced or grated onions and a small thinly diced green pepper. This is just one version as there are a large variety and we improvise with other dressing. Instead of salad cream you can use mayonnaise and mustard. I enjoy my salad cream immensely.

Ensalada de papa

Ingredientes:

1 libra de papas
1/2 cebolla
1/2 libra de zanahorias
guisantes de 1/2 lb verde
o
1 puede verde, guisantes y zanahorias
o
1 puede mezclar verduras
3 huevos duros
1/4 taza Durkees
1/4 taza crema ensalada de Heinz
una cebolla pequeña, picada o rallada
un pequeño pimiento verde picado fino

Método
Hervir todo verduras, papas y huevos. Pelar y picada y mezclar en un bol excepto huevos. Yo mi crema ensalada y salsa de Durkees o mostaza mezcla y mezclar bien. Mezclar las verduras y patatas con la mezcla de ensalada crema y temporada. Normalmente yo añadiría un pequeño picado o rallado cebolla y un pequeño finamente había picado pimienta verde. Es sólo una versión ya que hay una gran variedad e improvisamos con otro aderezo. En lugar de crema ensalada puede utilizar mayonesa y mostaza. Disfruto inmensamente mi crema de la ensalada.
