Once again, summer is here and some are making plans to travel in the country or abroad. This past weekend, I had a wonderful evening with some great people. I was invited for an overnight at the @Residence Inn on the Marriott Compound near the airport.

Una vez más, el verano está aquí y algunos están haciendo planes para viajar en el país o en el extranjero. Este fin de semana pasado, tuve una noche maravillosa con un gran equipo de personas. Fui invitado para una noche en el @Residence Inn en el complejo Marriott cerca del aeropuerto.

We occasionally do some road traveling especially for summer and looking for some great place to stay with the family is always on our list of priorities. The Residence Inn surely fits that specific place as it is a home away from home. It fits all the requirements on our list.

In the kitchen, you can find cooking utensils: pots, pans, china cups, plates, knives, forks and spoons. Although you can find several restaurant on the compound, you are able to cook your food as you wish as there is a stove top range, microwave, coffeemaker, dishwasher and a large refrigerator.

En la cocina, puede encontrar utensilios de cocina: potes, cazuelas, tazas de la porcelana, platos(, cuchillos, tenedores y cucharas. Aunque pueda encontrar varios restaurante en el compuesto, se puede cocinar su comida como desea como hay una estufa, microonda, cafetera, lavavajillas y un refrigerador grande.

What makes it efficient is the fact that there is a shopping service offered as well as some awesome recycling tips. It really makes one feel so at home with all the necessary amenities: free grocery delivery, free wi-fi, fully equipped in-suite kitchens, dry cleaning/ on-site laundry, outdoor swimming pool and fitness center  . You can also obtain a few necessities at The Market, a 24/7 self-serve food and beverage near the front desk.

Lo eficaz es el hecho de que ofrecen un servicio de compras y tambien algunos consejos de reciclaje impresionantes. Te hace sentir tan en casa con todas las comodidades necesarias: entrega de comestibles gratis, wi-fi gratuita, en la suite una cocina totalmente equipada, limpieza en seco / lavandería local, piscina al aire libre y un centro de gimnasio. Usted también puede obtener algunas necesidades en el mercado, un 24/7 autoservicio de alimentos y bebidas cerca a la recepción del hotel.

One of the great factor the Residence Inn is well known for is their signature daily complementary breakfast table. You can have your favorite  hot breakfast meal of your choice: oatmeal, waffles, pancakes, fruits, juice, coffee and many more. It was quite a delicious, warm and nutritious breakfast which is important for a everyone.

Uno de los grandes factores por que la Residence Inn es conocida es su desayuno complementario a diario. Usted puede tener su desayuno favorito y  caliente y de su elección: avena, waffles, panqueques, frutas, jugos, café y muchos más. It sure was a great overnight at the Residence Inn and sure would like to have the family over to enjoy all the luxurious amenities. Great for a family summer vacation!

Easter Traditions #Miracles #Blessings

Hello All,

It is a beautiful time of the year. Reminiscing is not always good, lol. I can remember making reservations a month ahead with the girls. It is always going to Caye Caulker, Placencia or Cancun, Quintana Roo, or Progreso, Yucatan. All these beautiful places.

Es la época más hermosa del año. Recordando no es siempre bueno, lol. Puedo recordar reservando los cuartos un mes antes de las vacaciones con las chicas. Iríamos a las islas a Cayo Caulker o Placencia, Belice o Cancún, Quintana Roo o Progreso, Yucatán. Todos estos lugares hermosos y con maravillosos recuerdos.

I am not comparing since I have the beautiful beaches as well. It is just all the fun time with the friends and we were all single. It sure was some days partying. Now it is saner but would be nice to share these places with the family as well. I am pretty sure the children would have a blast.

No estoy comparando ya que tengo la playas bellas aquí en Miami. Es momento de diversión con los amigos. Fue unos días fiesta. Ahora es más sano, pero sería bonito compartir estos lugares con la familia. Estoy bastante seguro que los niños se divertirían.

Caye Caulker, Belize

There are times it was a short holiday. We stayed at home on Good Friday and go to church and do our procession of the Station of the Cross. These are also great traditions and fun times in that we did go as a group with those who did not start the holidays early. It was always a long day as it was a day of abstinence from food and repent. We did penance, go to mass, then the procession for Station of the Cross.

Hay veces que era unas cortas vacaciones. Nos quedamos en casa el viernes santo y vamos a la iglesia para la procesión de la estación de la Cruces. Estos son también grandes tradiciones y momentos de diversión en que fuimos como un grupo con los que no se ha iniciado las vacaciones antes de tiempo. Siempre fue un día largo como era un día de abstinencia de alimentos y para para arrepentirse. Hicimos la penitencia, ir a la masa y luego la procesión para la Estación de la Cruz.

The part we enjoyed after celebrating with Christ was the eating. Normally, there is a nice potlock of food or we have sandwiches of various kinds. There were: tuna, chicken, lobster, cheese and vegetable sandwiches. There was also: tuna, chicken, lobster and vegetable, pasta and potato salad. These were light but after almost a day of abstinence, it was even more tasty and we certainly had fun. It was family time before we all go on our Easter vacation which means a day of fun, sun, sand and food! This is a time most Belizeans make their hot cross bun and Creole bread. You can bet if we are in the vacation zones grandma or our favorite aunt would be making those nice fry fish and the veggies. Yummy, yummy for my tummy!

La parte que disfrutamos después de celebrar con Cristo era la comida. Normalmente, hay un buen cantidad de alimentos de bocadillos de diversos tipos. Hubo: atún, pollo, langosta, queso y bocadillos vegetales. También hubo ensaladas de atún, pollo, langosta y verduras, pasta y de patatas. Estos fueron algo ligero, pero después de casi un día de abstinencia pues es aún más sabrosa y desde luego, muy divertido comer con la familia. Siempre es tiempo de la familia antes de la vacaciones de Semana Santa lo que significa un día de diversión, sol, arena y comida! Estos son los momento que la mayoría de los habitantes de Belice hagan sus panes dulces y pan Criollo. Usted puede apostar que si estamos en las vacaciones con la abuela o nuestra tía favorita sería esas lindao pescados fritos con las verduras. Que delicia para mi barriga!

This is also a time when many Belizeans celebrate with the Cross Country Cycle Race. It is a lot of excitement and a a time many Belizeans are there to support their cyclist. We did our part by giving water as they past by on the road or other roadside assistance. Lots of fun!

Este es también un momento en el que muchos beliceños celebrar con la carrera ciclista. Hay una gran cantidad de entusiasmo y una vez que muchos beliceños apoyo de sus ciclistas. Hicimos lo que nos correspondía, dandoles agua cuando ellos pasan por el camino u otra ayuda del borde del camino. ¡Mucha diversión!

Presently, we now make different traditions and enjoy the fun with the kids besides going to the beach. Now, we get crafts for the kids to do and make. We fill those baskets with arts and books.
We started by doing painting this year and did several paintings of animals. She had received a bead set for Christmas and she decided on making Rosaries and Budhist beads to give to some special people. It is awesome that she wants to give instead of what she can receive. Read story here.

Actualmente, ahora hacemos tradiciones diferentes y disfrutamos de la diversión con los niños además de ir a la playa. Ahora, conseguimos artes para que los niños hagan. Llenamos aquellas cestas de artes y libros y un poquito de dulces hechos en casa o naturales. Comenzamos haciendo pintura este año e hicimos varias pinturas de animales. Ella recibió un conjunto de cordones para regalo de Navidad y ella decidió hacer Rosarios y cordones Budista a dar a algunas personas especiales. Es increíble que ella quiere dar en lugar de lo que ella puede recibir.

Girl Scout's Fun Day at University of Miami~~> The Amazing Race #Creativity #Games #Fun #Participating

Hiya todos, 

Well, my weekend was a bit hectic, how was your weekend?

¿Bien, mi fin de semana era un poco agitado, cómo era su fin de semana?
 

We had a surprise activity to go to at the University of Miami. It was a Fun Day of games and activities for the friends and caregivers of the Girl Scouts. There were many Girl Scout activities this weekend but we got invited to this one and we were able to attend.

Teníamos una actividad de sorpresa para ir a en la universidad de Miami. Era un Día Divertido de juegos y actividades para los amigos y caregivers de las Girl Scouts. Había muchas actividades de la Girl Scouts este fin de semana pero nos invitamos a éste y podimos de asistir.

This turned out to be quite a delightful adventure as we found out where some places are on our way to and from the University of Miami. We missed some of the early activities and University of Miami is so large I guess I got to know the campus a bit on Saturday. No, I was not able to get the inside tour bit at least I know where certain offices are, lol. It was enlightening. On the campus, there were a number of activities going on as well. The participation was good as I saw a number of parents and students. It is great to see a number of activities for the young people today.

Esto se convirtió en una agradable aventura bastante ya que descubrimos a donde se encontraba  algunos lugares que estaban en el camino de la Universidad de Miami. Perdimos algunos de los primeros actividades y la Universidad de Miami es tan grande que creo que empecé a conocer el campus un poco el Sábado. No, no fui capaz de conseguir la gira del interior pero por lo menos sé donde se encuentran algunas oficinas, jajaja. Fue reveladora. En el campus, habia una serie de actividades que se desarrollaban. La participación fue buena, vi a un número de padres y estudiantes. Es genial ver a una serie de actividades para los jóvenes de hoy.

We got there eventually and they were having a break and the University of Miami .... came around to greet the girl scouts and it was great as numerous pictures were taken. Everyone had their moment to be with Sebastian, the mascot.

Finalmente llegamos y estaban teniendo un descanso y la mascota, Sebastian de la Universidad de Miami fue a saludar a las girl scouts y me encantó como se tomaron numerosas fotografías. Todos tenían su momento de estar con Sebastian, la mascota.

Next, it was time for the activities to begin. We went to create our logos on our backpack. There were numerous colorful markers and paints to be creative and special.There were lots of laughter and creative images with University of Miami mascot Sebastian.

Después, era tiempo para comenzar las actividades. Fuimos para crear nuestros logo en nuestro mochila. Había numerosos marcadores vistosos y las pinturas para ser creativos y especiales. Había mucha risa e imágenes creativas con la universidad de la mascota de Miami Sebastian.

We had a great time there using the favorite colors of UM and was good advertisement for the fans. Soon it was time for the final of the day. After every event we get to take a little exercise and shake our legs. Next, we it was bingo time with some nice environmental words which was good for the little ones to develop their vocabulary. The girls concentrated on their cards but all had a chance to win so it was fair. Great job to all the students who were helping:)!

Tuvimos un buen rato allí utilizando los colores preferidos de UM y fue buena publicidad para los fans. Pronto era el tiempo para el final del día. Después de cada acontecimiento nos ponemos para tomar un poco de ejercicio y sacudir nuestras piernas. Después, era el tiempo del bingo con algunas palabras ambientales agradables que era bueno para que los pequeños desarrolla su vocabulario. Las muchachas se concentraron en sus naipes pero todos tenían una posibilidad de ganar así era justo. Los estudiantes hicieron un gran trabajo de entretener y guiarnos durante ese tiempo en el campo. ¡)!

 

It is almost time to leave but we were gathered into the hall to be entertained by the students. Their instantaneous acting  ability was just superb! We enjoyed every minute of it! Thank you all for hosting us: Girl Scouts and looking forward to next year!

Ya casi era hora de irnos, pero nos reunieron en la sala de estar entretenido con los estudiantes. Su acción instantánea capacidad era excelente! Disfrutamos de cada minuto de él! Muchas gracias a todos por recibirnos: Girl Scouts y mirando hacia delante hasta el próximo año!

This past weekend was surely an adventure but we had fun and excitement. We got to know more Girl Scouts which is always good for girl scout.

Hola, Hello To One and All,

How is your day, Terrific day! It is always great to give thanks for the wonderful blue sky and cool daybreak. We surely are feeling the change in weather today and it was a lovely start. What are you happy about today? Good Health for me!

¿Cómo es tu día, día fabuloso! Siempre es genial dar gracias por el maravilloso cielo azul y fresco amanecer. Seguramente estamos sintiendo el cambio en el clima hoy y fue un hermoso comienzo. ¿Qué es lo que complace hoy? ¡Salud buena para mí!

We had a wonderful weekend sharing time with the marvelous creatures of the world. We were invited to spend some quality time at the Seaquarium. We have been several times at Seaquarium and have had really great time looking at the animals performing. This time it was a bit different. We got to see the exotic animals up close and personal. It was a blessing and educational as we learnt so much about the different animals and their interaction with the people. This was a really exciting day as it is something I can see we may need to take part in to save those sentient beings from becoming extinct.

Tuvimos un fin de semana maravilloso compartir tiempo con las maravillosas criaturas del mundo. Nos invitaron a pasar tiempo de calidad en el Seaquarium. Hemos estado antes en Seaquarium con los Girl Scout y hemos tenido mucho tiempo en busca de los animales en el publico. Esta vez fue un poco diferente. Pudimos ver a los animales exóticos muy de cerca para tocarlos y hablarlos. Es una bendición y educativa como aprendimos mucho acerca de los diferentes animales y su interacción con la gente. Este fue un día muy emocionante ya que es algo de lo que puedo ver es posible que tengamos que tomar parte en salvar a aquellos seres que sienten en peligro de desaparecer.

It was one tick off our list of wishful things to do. It was always a pleasure to share these adventures in our lives about the marvelous happenings in Miami. First and foremost, it was a lovely warm and windy day! The traffic was working in our favor but then it was early in the morning so that was a plus. There were many morning walkers, isn't that wonderful!

Ahora puedo marcarlo en nuestra lista de cosas deseosas de hacer. Siempre era un placer de compartir éstos aventuras en nuestras vidas sobre los acontecimientos maravillosos en Miami. ¡Antes que nada, era un día caliente y ventoso encantador! El tráfico trabajaba en nuestro favor pero entonces era de madrugada de modo que fuera un plus. Habían muchos caminantes de mañana, no es maravillosos!

Everyone greeted us cheerfully that we encountered which was very nice in the early morning. The children were excited just to be at the Seaquarium. Socializing began as the children began arriving and meeting each other which was even more fun for them. The first set of species we saw were the turtles and the lizards. It was funny to see the turtles eating and making sure they get their food even if they had to get into it, and look at how the animals shared their food with their neighbors, isn't that nice?

Cada uno con quien encontramos nos saludó alegremente que era muy agradable temprano por la mañana. Los niños se excitaron sólo(justo) para estar en Seaquarium. Socialización estuvo super cuando los niños comenzaron a llegar y el  encuentro fue aún más divertido para ellos. El primer conjunto de especies que vimos fueron las tortugas y los lagartos. Fue divertido ver a las tortugas comiendo y asegurándose de que consiguen su alimento incluso si tuvieron que entrar en ella y mira cómo los animales comparten la comida con sus vecinos, ¿no es agradable?

Did you see the lizard on this end? I really was puzzled when I realized it was a lizard as it camouflouges with its surroundings. How terrific, what do you think?

¿Viste el lagarto en este extremo? Realmente me he quedado perplejo cuando me di cuenta que era un lagarto que se camouflouges con su entorno. ¿Estupendo, ¿qué te parece?

 
Next we saw how awesome to see the children interacting with each other instead of playing with technological gadgets while they made new friends face to face.Great communication skills.
What I enjoyed was the mutual love for animals. The second animal we were introduced to was the iquana. It was really exciting for the kids.

Luego vimos los niños interactuando unos con otros en vez de jugar con los gadgets tecnológicos mientras hacen nuevos amigos cara a cara, ¿no es genial? Gran comunicación. Lo que me gustó fue el amor mutuo de los animales. El segundo animal nos presentaron a los gekos. Era muy emocionante para los niños.

This particular iquana had one of its feet destroyed and the Seaquarium is its home as it cannot defends itself as others with their complete feet. The staff takes care of the animals that has been hurt. It is a sentient being that has been saved and used for others to learn about them.

Este geko particular tuvo uno de sus pies destruidos y el acuario marino es su hogar como no defiende como otros con sus pies completas. El personal se encarga de los animales que ha sido herido. Es un inteligente que ha sido guardado y utilizado por los demás para aprender sobre ellos.

The children and adult both had their turn to touch the iquana and say hi.Next we got to hear the macaw bird talk to us and was fun how she proudly display her feathers, so beautiful. She likes to be complemented. She is a good listener, I like that!

Los niños y adultos tuvieron su turno para tocar el iquana y saludar.A continuación tienes que escuchar el pájaro guacamayo hablar con nosotros y fue divertido cómo ella muestran orgullosos sus plumas, tan hermosos. Le gusta ser complementada. Es un buen oyente, eso me gusta!

Next we got to see the Manatees, oh so docile. They are great creatures and are considered relations of the elephant, isn't that interesting? Did you know that the food they eat is 10% of their weight?
That is alot of food. But they are vegetarians, how nice is that!

Luego vimos los manatíes, oh tan dócil. Son criaturas grandes y se consideran las relaciones del elefante, ¿no es interesantes? ¿Sabías que la comida que comen es el 10% de su peso? Eso es un montón de comida. Pero son vegetarianos, qué lindo es!

Here I was priviledged to touch this  gentle giant. This particular manatee's tail has been cut off by boats and the other lying on its back is half paralyzed. It was cute that she eats on its back and surely enjoyed it. It was great that they have somewhere to live for the rest of its life. The are smart, you can see they are listening to you while you talked to them. You can almost feel them nudging you gently similar to the cats.

Aquí estaba privilegiada para tocar a este gigante apacible. La cola de este particular manatee ha sido cortada por los barcos y el otro que le gusta estár acostado sobre su espalda es medio paralizada.. Fue lindo que come a sus espaldas y seguramente lo disfruté. Me encantó que tienen un lugar donde vivir por el resto de su vida. Son inteligente, ya ves que te escucha mientras habló con ellos. Puede sentir casi que ellos dan un codazo a usted suavemente similar a los gatos.

 

I was also honored to feed them. It certainly would be a nice place to work with them. They are also sentient beings who enjoys good life. I have to learn about these animals as I might be forced to learn about the extinct animals in the near future. For the moment it would be nice to volunteer to take care of these less fortunate ones that have been harmed. Next we took a stroll to meet some of the younger seals that were born at the Seaquarium.

También me honré de alimentarlos. Seguramente sería un lugar agradable para trabajar con ellos. También son seres sensibles quien disfruta de la vida buena. Tengo que aprender sobre estos animales ya que me podría obligar a aprender sobre los animales extinguidos en el futuro próximo. Para el momento sería agradable ofrecerse para tener cuidado de este menos afortunado que se ha dañado. Después tomamos un paseo para encontrar a algunos sellos más jóvenes que nacieron en Seaquarium.

Did you know a male sealion can grow lengthwise as long as 6.5 - 8 ft and weighs 440 - 800 pounds?
Interesting, let see about the California sealion female can grow as long as 6-6.5 feet long weights 110-250 pounds. Wow, that is a lot of difference in weight, isn't it?

I always looked at these signs and hoped one day to enjoy a day in life and enjoy these lovely sentient beings we are privileged to be around and appreciate them. I know that I may one day learn more of them than just visiting for a day. I am happy to meet these special people who have contact with these wonderful sentinet beings. We had a lovely time touching and speaking with this beautiful sentient being. We do feel honored to have met them.

Siempre he mirado en estos signos y esperaba un día para disfrutar de un día en la vida y disfrutar de estas hermosas ser sensibles tenemos el privilegio de ser y apreciarlos. Yo sé que un día puede aprender más de ellos que una visita de un día. Me alegra encontrarme con estas personas especiales que tienen contacto con estos maravillosos seres sentinet. Nos lo pasamos de maravilla tocando y hablando de este hermoso ser sensible. Nos sentimos honrados de haber cumplido.

The sealion was so docile and you feel the gentleness when you touch it or when it touches you. There is a peace you feel and glad I was able to touch it and have greater respect for these gentle sentient beings in their natural habitat. Next, we went for a nice walk to see some of the turtles and other habitats in there natural habitats. We were able to feed them and were lucky to see some of bambi's family.

El sealion era tan dócil y se siente la dulzura cuando se toca o cuando te toca. Hay una paz que se siente y me alegro de haberlo podido tocar y tener un mayor respeto hacia estos suaves seres vivientes en su hábitat natural. A continuación, nos fuimos a dar un agradable paseo para ver algunas de las tortugas marinas y otros hábitats en los hábitats naturales. Hemos sido capaces de darles de comer y tuvimos la suerte de ver algunos  familias de bambi.

We had fun trying to see them and excitement when we did get to see them: the alligator, the large turtles, etc. When bambi's family was seen, there was another thrill of excitement. Then it was hide and seek to see them. Next, we took another walk to see and feed the stingray. 

Nos divertimos tratando de ver y emoción cuando tuvimos la oportunidad de verlos: el cocodrilo, el las tortugas de gran tamaño, etc. Cuando vieron a familia de bambi había otra emoción de excitación. Luego fue a escondidas a verlos. A continuación, tomamos otro paseo para ver y alimentar a la raya.

That was something different, you have to feel it to get that sensation. Something exceptional. I enjoyed the time with stingray, I was a bit scared but then it was enjoyable to see their reaction when they smell their food, it was fun!

Que era algo diferente, tienes que sentir que para obtener esa sensación. Algo excepcional. He disfrutado mucho de la raya con tiempo, me daba un poco de miedo pero luego, fue agradable, pero lluego al ver su reacción cuando huelen la comida, era muy divertido!

Finally, we get to do something we have always dreamt of. Yes, to be close to the dolphins. The whole adventure was beautiful. The sentient beings are so awesome and beautiful.

 This beauty was so graceful even though she is big.  Tell me what you think, she smiled as my daughter was patting her and talking to her. She has that touch with animals. She makes them talk to her. I love the dolphin's smile! That really made the adventure even more special!

Esta belleza era tan elegante aunque sea grande. Dígame lo que piensa, sonrió ya que mi hija la acariciaba y se dirigía a ella. Tiene ese toque con animales. Los hace dirigirse a ella. ¡Amo la sonrisa del delfín! ¡Esto realmente hizo la aventura aún más especial!

Our adventure was a blessing and probably the beginning of a greater adventure as the little one is thinking of helping with the extinction of animals: her aim is for a wildlife biologist. We support her on all the trials and triumphs and hope her dreams may be achieve as she continues her studies.

Nuestra aventura fue una bendición y probablemente el comienzo de otra aventura mayor como la pequeña está pensando en ayudar con la extinción de animales: su objetivo es que un biólogo de vida silvestre. Hope you are all enjoying the beautiful and sunny day! We have not had any rain for today as yet.
So how long has it been that you have been for a nice outing in beautiful Miami? Miami has so many history and it is growing so rapidly. It is amazing how much it has expanded in five or ten years.

Espero que todos disfrutando del hermoso y soleado día. No hemos tenido ninguna lluvia para el día de hoy.  ¿Cuánto tiempo hace que has salido en un agradable paseo en la hermosa Miami ? Miami tiene tanta historia y está creciendo tan rápidamente. Es increíble cómo se ha ampliado en cinco o diez años.

A couple weeks ago, I had the joy of seeing some beautiful sceneries with some friends. They were on a short stay over and they wanted to see a bit of Miami as they never had the joy to stay long enough. We had a limited amount of time so we had to make choices.

Hace un par de semanas, he tenido la alegría de ver algunos hermosos paisajes con unos amigos. Se encontraban en una estancia corta y que querían ver un poco de Miami ya que nunca han tenido la alegría de pasar suficiente tiempo aqui. No teníamos mucho tiempo por lo tanto tuvimos que decidir.

There are numerous stores to buy gifts for everyone.

While we decided where to go we prepared ourselves for a beautiful day in sunny Miami. That is one of the main attraction to Miami, the sunshine state. It did not surprised me when the Bayside MarketPlace was chosen. It is where there are numerous shops to buy last minute gifts and there is always something for everyone. There are lots of great restaurants with tasty, delicious and unique meals and something for everyone's taste as well. Last but not least, there are many entertainment places and always live entertainment too where children can have a great time.

Mientras decidimos donde ir nos preparamos para un hermoso día soleado en Miami. Este es uno de los principales atractivos de Miami, el estado del sol. No me sorprendió cuando el mercado de Bayside fue elegido. Este es el lugar donde se encuentran numerosas tiendas para comprar regalos de última hora y siempre hay algo para todo el mundo. Hay un montón de restaurantes con comidas deliciosas y únicas y algo para todos los gustos también. Por último pero no menos importante, hay entretenimiento de muchos lugares y siempre entretenimiento en vivo también donde los niños pueden tener un gran momento.

Here is a view where the water-taxi fills up hourly for a tour. We also see the condos afar.

  The Bayside MarketPlace was built in 1987 by the Rouse Company. In 2004, the General Growth Properties bought the company and the Bayside became added to the GPP list of family centers. What is interesting is that Miami welcomes 12 million visitors to the Bayside every year!!! Impressive. I enjoy going to the Bayside for special events and to take the family and friends as well.
