Summer is almost here and we are preparing for all those long days of activities and fun:). One of our main concern during the summer months is dehydration and replenishing minerals our kids lose during their outdoor physical activities.

El verano está casi aquí y nos preparamos para todos aquellos días largos de actividades y diversión: ). Una de nuestra preocupación principal durante los meses de verano es deshidratación y de rellenar los minerales que nuestros niños pierden durante sus actividades físicas al aire libre.

The kids love to have natural fruit and vegetable juices and know that water is a must throughout the day. We received some bottles of  Essentia water that is filled with minerals. We surely will have need for these water after a hectic day of the kids running around and spending time in the fields, park or at the beach. We need to keep them strong and healthy since they will grow a lot throughout the summer vacation.

During the summer, the children are physically active and are always sweating and exercising. We must be aware that replenishing the minerals lost due to physical activity is very important. It is vital that children learn to keep hydrated throughout the day drinking lots of fluids. Essentia is filled with vital minerals that is necessary to the active child's health and is essential for the body to function properly. The minerals are basically the same minerals your body makes to function.

Besides having three different sizes, there is a small bottle to take in your bag for your convenience on a road trip or to the gym. Another factor is that this product container is made with BPA free recycle and safest product as it does not occupy much space in a landfill. An important point is that the water does not have an after taste that I dread in other water bottles and therefore the water taste nicer and healthier!

Summer is almost here and we are getting ready for our summer rides to our destination. We received some of these awesome books. Most nurturer, caregiver, trusted friend, companion and teacher will tell you that reading is very important. Even though there are many technological appliances to read, I still prefer to read a paper book. I am glad that I received the paper books to share with my children.

We received When I grow up, I want to be..A Teacher. Recently we celebrated Teacher's Week. I admired several teachers that makes life or learning seems to be so easy. I believe that teachers who love teaching is so admirable and really makes a difference in the children's life. Not everyone is a teacher. This book really is wonderful as a learning experience as it explains different aspect of a teacher and it is very interesting.

Carlee always wanted to be a teacher when she grew up, until her mother is hired as a teacher at her school! Some of her friends are even in her mother's class. Carlee is worried. What will her friends say? Will her mother do something to embarrass her? Carlee vows never to become a teacher like her mother, but as she journeys through the first day of school with her own new teacher, Carlee makes some surprising discoveries.

Here the children enjoy their books for a quiet night. They read about the book and then the following night they tell us about the book and what they think about being a teacher. They also exchange books to see what they can or cannot do being a Teacher or an Army personnel.

When Jake's teacher assigns a "career" project, Jake decides he wants to be a soldier in the United States Army. Jake and his father visit an Army surplus store to find items he can use to present his project. As they search the store, each item makes the history and proud spirit of the U.S. Army come to life for Jake and readers alike. Through Jake's discoveries, readers are introduced to the history of the U.S. Army, what soldiers' duties include, and the equipment they use.

I like the fact that the books are educational as well as entertaining and give ideas about that career that inspires young ones to set a goal. It is motivating and the fact that the child can relates to the circumstances is well done.

Summer Gift Guide with the Sea, Sand and Sun!!!!!

 We are nearing the end of another school year and we sure are looking forward to having fun this summer. Have you made plans for at least some activities this summer with the children?
