Let's start by saying a big THANK YOU to all the farmers in the world. I know that the office people works hard, technically speaking. I must say that most farmers are very hard working, early to bed and early to rise. What they do, they do with a passion and most enjoy dealing with the public. These farmers are up very early to get their crop ready, some are not daily visitors at the market and therefore has to get there early to get an available spot to get their products sold early and get out of the hectic rush on the road.

This experience I learned while visiting and it was fun going to the market and all because it was just for a short while but believe me, it was tiring for me. I was up at 5 a.m. and by 7:30 p.m. I was ready for my bed.

I love going to the market to smell the fresh fruits and vegetables and catch up with some friends that we don't  normally meet throughout the workday. I like to hear the people bartering for their purchase. I never knew how hard or what the procedure a farmer does to be a farmer. My dad does it occasionally based on the type of fruits in season. Presently, there a many fruits in season in Belize.
This experience I learned while visiting and it was fun going to the market and all because it was just for a short while but believe me, it was tiring for me. I was up at 5 a.m. and by 8 a.m. I was ready for my bed.

  7. Wow! All that produce looks so fresh and yummy! Since it's the middle of winter here, there aren't any farmer's markets open, but I can't wait for summer.

  8. I love going to the Farmer's Market! There are several in the area here, but they are all open in the summer. There's one that's open year-round, but only on certain days. I still like going in the winter, because I can get collards, persimmons, and other winter veggies and fruits.

  14. I love going to the fresh markets too. And you're right, farmers do work hard. I see it here in the country all of the time. I love too, how they pull together to help one another around my place, when the snow melts and Spring is coming (a very busy time for them, gauging by the activity we always see that time of year).
