Health~>Multiple Sclerosis - Health #Genetics #Smoking #VitaminD #Deficiency

Hi All,
Hola

Support of Family and Friends helps with Multiple Sclerosis

Hope all is well with you all and are taking care of the family and yourselves. Remember mommy, we need to do a bit of pampering now and then as we are the main foundation of our household. Mommy is the jack of all trades, well master of some which balances out, don't  you think so?

Today, I learned about a disease that I have heard a lot about but had no idea. As I have a bit of knowledge, I am sharing with you and perhaps you can help me to learn more.

My topic is Multiple Sclerosis.

Multiple Sclerosis Research
Accordingly, Multiple Sclerosis is the disability of young people that affects the brain, spinal cord and optic nerve.

It can affect any age group although mostly affects:
  • Female ages 20-45 years, there is no indication why found as yet
  • Common in female (for every 3 female 1 man is affected)
  • Those in the North - Western Countries compared to those countries near the Equator

Multiple Sclerosis has been around for 150 years ago and it was til May 1993 that there was a pharmaceutical product to help treat to modify the disease. No CURE is available for this disease.

There is no way to tell if a patient has this disease but my monitoring suspicious symptoms of the disease and this is done by MRI scans.

The best help for the patient is early detection and treat MS which can prevent permanent damage and scar.

Early detection can help the myelin sheath, the material that surrounds and protects your nerve cells from being destroyed and can be recovered. However, once the exon is damage, it cannot recover but cause permanent damage and scars. There is no cure for the disease so early prevention is vital. It is advised that it is best to treat the disease and prevent progressive relapse.

Eating Omega3 and Omega 6 and your vegetables help fight multiple sclerosis.
Here are some factors that may be causes or risks of Multiple Sclerosis :
  • Genetic factors, if someone related to you(your mother) has it you might have it
  • One virus is mono- high rate
  • Vitamin D deficiency - needs more sun but you need only 15 minutes sunshine and healthy fats which are fatty fish such as salmon, tuna, and mackerel, plant-based oils, and flaxseed
  • Smoking is another factor that is major. Stop smoking or don't start.

Vitamin D is not needed for people living near the Equator but to those living in the Northern countries needs it.

GLUTEN Free - Celiac disease or Gluten intolerace

To all my readers, I sure hope you are having a fantastic week full of energy, the long weekend is coming along, is there any plans besides going shopping???

I had several giveaways which are products that are gluten-free. Many of my readers have never heard of it and have been motivated to do some research on Gluten.

We have a family friend that told me several times, I cannot eat this and that because it has gluten and I could not understand what he meant by "it makes me ill." I used to makes certain food for him whenever he would visited us.

What is Gluten?

¿Qué es Gluten?

Gluten is brown flour, spelt, couscous, starch, farina, groats, malt, triticum, roux, semolina, udon and einkorn; is a type of protein found in wheat, rye, and barley.  Although gluten is not good for everyone, it has some very good qualities. It helps bread rise and stay moist, fresh and chewy. Gluten is the sticky substance in bread. Wheat gluten is an amazingly rich source of protein. It contains 23 grams of protein per quarter cup, which is slightly more than the amount in three ounces of meat, fish, or poultry.

Why do people eat gluten-free products?

The people that needs to eat gluten-free products have celiac disease.  Celiac disease  or gluten intolerance is whereby gluten causes a great amount of serious health problems.  Iingesting gluten produces symptoms that include bloating, stomach upset and a skin rash Even a trace amount of it can inflame the intestinal lining, preventing it from absorbing nutrients, which can stunt growth and weaken bones over time. Gluten-free food is mandatory for an estimated 3 million people in the United States.

Is gluten-free considered healthy?

¿Es libre de gluten considera saludable?

In reality, it is not! The simple truth is unless you have celiac disease or gluten sensitivity, there’s really no reason to eliminate gluten from your diet.

In fact, many gluten-free items are worse for you than their gluten-containing counterparts. So for people who must go gluten-free for medical reasons, it’s important to read those labels. The trick is to find alternative grain products labeled, "gluten-free" and not "wheat-free," since gluten is also present in barley and rye products.

What are natural food that are gluten-free?
