I know reading is a very important factor in our lives. When I was a little girl, I enjoyed reading as it took me on many adventures and far away places. I had many dreams of being in so many different careers based on all the adventures I had read.

I encourage my little ones to read and enjoy learning about the factors of life. I recently received some rather enlightening books from a new series of Wigu Publishing. This new series introduces young readers about people in the community who serve others through their vocations.

When I Grow Up I Want To Be...a Firefighter! begins with a boy named Will who is always excited to go on his class field trips. The next class field trip should be like all others, until Will finds out they will be visiting a firehouse.For as long as he can remember, Will has been afraid of fire and, worse than that, firefighters! Though he knows firefighters are heroes who do dangerous work, to him they are giants in heavy coats and masks. As he journeys with his class through the fire station, Will and readers alike are introduced to the exciting world of firefighting, including home fire safety.

Since 911, we are very fond and have great respect for the Firefighters and were very excited to read about the life of a Firefighter and how much they help the community with the work they do. These books about the “U.S. Army”, “Teacher” and “Firefighter” really break down the vocation in a creative way that juveniles have fun reading and understanding the work the individual does. Wigu's books are unique in that they help children visualize the abundant opportunities that exist for them to be successful and to make a difference in our community.
