Hurricane Season ~~> Are we #prepared? #Storm #Damages

¿Está preparado para esta temporada de huracanes? ¿Sabía usted?

Hope you are all having a good week and making plans for any major storm as the Hurricane season officially started on June 1st, 2013.

Espero que todos ustedes tengan una semana estupenda y están haciendo planes para cualguier tormenta ya que la temporada de huracanes comienza oficialmente el 1 de junio de 2013.

A couple months ago we went to a Girl Scout event for Girl Scout Jr. Aide. The girls were trained as a junior aide on how to create a temporary sling for a broken elbow, create a first aid kit and how to seek help when a stranger approaches them.

Hace un par de meses, fuimos a un evento de Girl Scout Jr. Aide.  Las muchachas se entrenaron como un ayudante menor en cómo crear un cabestrillo temporal para un codo roto, crear un botiquín y cómo buscar la ayuda cuando un extraño se acerca a ellos.


As I was looking at the news, I remembered the girls training in preparation for any event that they may help. We hope there may not be any need for the for the girls to help as we are pray that there may not be any major hurricane passing by Miami this year. Here is a little pack of their first aid kit.

Miraba las noticias y recordé el entrenamiento de las muchachas en preparación para cualquier acontecimiento en que se puedan ayudar.Esperamos que no haya ninguna necesidad de que las niñas tienen que ayudar y por esto  oramos que no haya tremenda huracán en Miami este año.

It is noted that NOAA predicts that there is a 70 percent chance that there will be 13-20 "named storms" in the Atlantic in the 2013 season. That includes seven to 11 storms that could become hurricanes and three to six that could become major hurricanes, with winds of 111 miles per hour or higher. The prediction meets or exceeds the seasonal average of 12 named storms and three major hurricanes per year. Overall, there is $1.1 trillion in potential residential exposure, according to the report. This chart shows the top 10 states at risk:

Se nota que NOAA predice que hay una posibilidad(azar) del 70 por ciento que haya 13-20 'tormentas llamadas' en el Atlántico en la temporada de 2013. Esto incluye siete en 11 tormentas que se podrían hacer huracanes y tres a seis que se podría hacer huracanes principales, con vientos de 111 millas por hora o más alto. La predicción encuentra(cumple) o excede el promedio estacional de 12 tormentas llamadas.
