New Colgate Enamel Health #ChristmasGuide2014

Hello,

We are into the festive season and eating all the lovely food and dessert on the menu. There is one very important thing that I make a rule and that is "We enjoy good treats so we must keep good teeth and fresh breathe." To do this we must brush at least 2x per day. Early in the morning and last thing before bed. We have learned to keep the pearly white using Colgate during the work  and school week. During the holidays and weekend we brush after every meal to protect and preserve our pearls in the mouth, fresh minty breathe and thus have a beautiful sparkling smile. Did you know that eating too much acidic food damages your enamel?

We have recently found out that Colgate-Palmolive is proudly expanding its oral care products with a new line NEW Colgate Enamel Health. we can always depend on Colgate to be a step ahead in taking care of our precious pearls and provide healthy tips.

Colgate® Enamel Health™ Whitening’s dual action formula:

Sharing some valuable information with you all and how important it is to protect the enamel of your teeth as well as

What Changes Can Be Made to Improve Your Teeth?
Once a dentist has examined your teeth, you may want to discuss your next steps to reduce enamel erosion in your mouth:
  1. Determine over what time span have you been suffering from enamel erosion.
  2. Identify the frequency of acid intake and how the acids are consumed.
  3. Consult a nutritionist to assist in dietary assessment and reducing acid intake.
  4. Determine if you suffer from gastric reflux, regurgitation or eating disorders.
  5. Identify teeth that might need to be replaced by cosmetic restorations and/or bonding agents.
Enamel erosion affects all age groups and appears to be related to tooth sensitivity.2 Acidic foods and drinks may need to be reduced or even eliminated because of the erosion they cause. Desensitizing toothpaste, like Colgate® Enamel Health Sensitivity Relief toothpaste (links to 2.1), can also be used for pain relief. Sealants or bonding agents may be considered to reduce the progression of enamel erosion. In addition, applying fluoride can help increase resistance to the acid dissolution but it will not remineralize your teeth.
Remember, it is always important to consult your dentist to discuss treatment options for enamel erosion.

  2. Teeth that are valuable organs. Without teeth we would not be able to feel the taste of the food perfectly. Toothpaste is useful for the dross of our teeth.
