Hello, how are you all doing?
Enjoying your summer vacation? Are you on that road trip? Did you go to see grandma and the cousins? It seems this summer we will not be having our yearly summer vacation to visit the cousins in Mexico. We are merely reminiscing this year and really missing the family and the spicy, delicious Yucateco food. But guess what, I have a #CollectiveBias opportunity to enhance my recipes with this marvelous spicy sauce and am also sharing some Hot Sauce Recipes with you.

It seems that even though we may not be able to go there we can still have the favorite family food that we enjoy. Well, when I was asked to try out El Yucateco sauce that just made us feel that special feeling of being closer to the family having our meal and enjoying the salsa "El Yucateco" to enjoy the spice of life right at home. Now that is what makes the food so  much more enjoyable, the flavor of this rich and spicy sauce. Did you know that they have several different salsas? Oh yes, there are several of them which I did not know and am surely enjoying with each meal as the flavors vary and enhances the taste of your everyday meal. You can also try some of the delicious El Yucateco sauce recipes that they have on their website. It sure is wonderful to have these recipes available at the tip of our fingers to do whenever we like and such a large variety of recipes. Here I share my recipe for Stew Chicken and Rice & Beans.

I could not wait to try the sauces and went to Publix and purchased all the available El Yucateco product line. There are 3 products available: the Red Habanero Sauce, Green Habanero Sauce, and XXXtra Hot Kutbil-ik Sauce.I can remember some advise or tips my grandmother gave us but until now I see how wise the elders are. She was passing down information and we did not realize it and now I can share it with you. did you know that Chilies are fruits not vegetables? Wait, did you know that the Mayans rubbed hot peppers on their gums to stop toothaches? They were very smart using natural remedies, would you be able to do that? This is a very important factor: Chile peppers are cholesterol free, low in sodium and calories, rich in Vitamins A and C, and a good source of folic acid, potassium and Vitamin E. Sharing another way to enhance your recipes with El Yucateco sauce.

Just tasting these spicy sauces makes me remember my abuelita's cooking and misses her (May she rest in peace.) We would always have some sort of chile to eat with our food. It added flavor based on the type of pepper that she uses. We always used to play the game of who can eat the most and find out which of the peppers is the extra hot chile. I can remember the mouth watering smell of the onions, tomatoes and pepper filling the air with that unique aroma. It sure brings back pleasant memories of my childhood which I now share with my little ones.
