Let's join in the YMCA activity and let's get physical. Joining in this event is good for us and inspiring other to maintain good health. It is a good way to contribute towards the community we live in and help others by contributing for a worthy cause. We all benefit from this event.

The YMCA invites one and all to join them on December 14th for a great cause. There will be lots of prizes, but you must be in it to have a chance of a lifetime! We sure hope to see you there for this wonderful event and bring someone else along and make some great memories!

 

YMCA Jingle Bell Run Brings Health to Your Holidays

 December 14 Run/Walk to Support Y’s Financial Assistance Program  

Join in the healthy holiday fun of the inaugural South Dade Toyota – Homestead YMCA Jingle Bell Run to be held on December 14^th. Runners and walkers of all ages and fitness levels will make their way through neighborhood streets of Homestead, in support of good health and the Homestead YMCA’s Financial Assistance Program.

The South Dade Toyota – Homestead YMCA Jingle Bell Run begins at 5 pm at Homestead Hospital, following a 5k path, ending at the Homestead YMCA Family Center for a fun after party in the Y’s gymnasium. South Dade Toyota serves as the name sponsor of the run, with Homestead Hospital, Capital Bank and the City of Homestead as major sponsors.

Participants can anticipate an exciting, family-friendly event, with water stations, lightly traveled neighborhood race path, and special mile-marker highlights along the way. More experienced runners will enjoy chip timing by Split Second Timing. All participants will receive a race shirt, access to the after party at the Y, online race results, and a finisher’s token. The first 500 finishers will receive a special finisher’s gift, as well as 1^st, 2^nd and 3^rd place awards for specific age groups (male and female). The Homestead Trolley service will return all runners who choose to park at Homestead Hospital at no cost from 5:30 pm – 8:00 pm.

Registration for the Run is online at YMCA webpage. Race fees are $25 per runner before Dec 13^th. Fee per runner on race day is $30. All proceeds benefit the Homestead YMCA’s Financial Assistance Program, which provides support so that children and families in need can be part of the Y’s life-changing programs. The Homestead YMCA annually provides more than $250,000 in financial assistance.
